Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When should i book my spray tan?

A: It is recommended to get your spray tan two days before your event, and the day before you leave for vacation. If you are getting your tan just because, book whenever! You don’t NEED a reason to glow.

Q: Can I get a spray tan while Pregnant/breastfeeding?

A: You should consult your doctor before spray tanning during pregnancy. While DHA is approved for external use, spray tanning can involve inhalation of particles. Asking your doctor is recommended, and protective gear (ex: nose plugs, goggles) will be available if desired. When it comes to breastfeeding, consulting your physician is also recommended, and it is recommended that baby does not come in contact with freshly sprayed areas. Protective gear, such as disposable pasties, are available if desired.

Q: Can I get a spray tan if i have Sensitive skin?

A: Dolce Glow products are made for sensitive skin, as well as dermatologist and allergy-tested, although a patch test before full application is recommended.

Q: Do I need to wear SPF after my spray tan?

A: YES! The solution does not include SPF and it is just as important to wear it while you have a spray tan. Ask me about some spray tan safe sunscreens I recommend if you are interested!

Q: When should i stop using acne treatments or retinoids before my spray Tan?

A: It is advised to stop using these products 3-5 days prior to your appointment to avoid irritation or uneven application.

Q: Can I shave after my spray tan?

A: It is recommended to wait 24 hours before shaving. Use a gentle razor and a hydrating cream to shave.

Q: How can i make my spray tan last longer?

A: Moisturize! Once the 24 hour mark comes after your appointment, begin moisturizing twice daily. Having hydrated skin will help with the longevity of your tan.

Q: Will I be orange?

A: No! I have a variety of Dolce Glow solutions, so I can customize the solution that I use on you, making sure it looks natural!
